Nando’s Botswana’s latest expansion: Mogoditshane

Nando’s Mogoditshane has been operating for nearly over one and half years. It opened its doors for business on 18 March 2015 and has since then proved its mettle as a force to be reckoned with within the Nando’s Botswana group.
Said Nando’s Botswana’s Marketing Manager Simiso Ncube, “Having come from humble beginnings in 1993, it gives us great pleasure to continue implementing our expansion plan across Botswana in line with our business strategy. It has been exciting to watch our Mogoditshane restaurant grow to become one of our highest performers. Its turnover is currently the 7th highest within Nando’s Botswana. We are proud to employ 41 employees, who we refer to as Nandocas.”
Nando’s Botswana has been operating in Botswana since 1993 with its first restaurant, in African Mall. Today, the group boasts 14 restaurants with two of those having the innovative, full dine-in service.
In his welcoming address at the restaurant’s official opening, Mogoditshane MP Kgoroba stated “Our dream as the leadership of this village, both royal, political and otherwise, is to make Mogoditshane the third best economically viable place in this country after Gaborone and Francistown, and we are today, proud to have Nando’s as an important player in the realisation of this vision and dream.”
Concluded Ncube,  “Part of our business strategy is the betterment of the communities around us. For us, business is more than just about  the chicken, but about the people that make the chicken, which is also the community we live in.“
