EXPRESSION OF INTEREST AND PREQUALIFICATION FOR THE SUPPLY, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF A BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (BMS) AT THE BANK OF BOTSWANA HEADQUARTERS, PLOT 17938, GABORONE
Bank of Botswana seeks submission of Expression of Interest (EOI) from well established, experienced and innovative companies to provide a Building Management System (BMS) at its Headquarters facility in Gaborone.
The objective is to monitor and, where possible, control the following plant and equipment to enhance operational efficiency: Packaged and VRV air-conditioning units, fire pumps, water tank levels, back-up Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supply units, major Extract Fans, borehole pump through control units linked to a workstation complete with software. The equipment is located in six separate but linked buildings across the Headquarters site.
In order to prequalify to be invited to tender for this project, companies must fulfil the following criteria:
(i) They must be registered with the PPADB in a relevant category. Partnership with automation control specialist companies domiciled outside Botswana is acceptable.
(ii) They must demonstrate proven experience in the design, build, operation and maintenance of at least three BMS projects of which one should have been fully completed and commissioned in the last 3 years. They must provide specific details of the three installations: site location, installed capacity, date of installation and operation, and preferably references from clients.
(iii) They should demonstrate the experience of the key staff to be employed on the project.
(iv) They must demonstrate adherence to a quality assurance system such as ISO9001.
(v) They must provide a Tax clearance certificate and VAT registration.
Submissions will be evaluated by the Bank to produce a shortlist of approximately 5 contractors who will be invited for Tender.
Interested parties are required to pay a non-refundable fee of P350, inclusive of VAT, and submit their expressions of interest in writing. Payments shall be done at Bank of Botswana’s Banking Hall, from Monday to Friday at 0900 hours to 1400 hours at:
