The spectacular 2017 wedding expo hosted some of the best and varied local wedding day suppliers who showed strong presence much to the delight of prospective couples who thronged the GICC hall this past Saturday.

The banqueting facility was filled to the rafters with couples who maneuvered through various stalls whose exhibitors included décor stalls, champagne & brandy tasting, beauty spa treatments, make up artists and designers.

While the idea of planning weddings can be emotionally overwhelming, the lucky couples in attendance used the expo as a tool to plan out their dream weddings. Interestingly of all the décor and wedding event stalls, Royal wedding planners stood out the most. Executive Planner Gloria Maje shed the light on the growth of events planning in Botswana. “We help couples make their dream wedding a reality so they come to us and we do the running around for them. Eventually they end up becoming our guests! Locally, wedding planning has grown even though people tend to confuse us with people who supply tents and chairs only. As a wedding planner we cover all aspects of a wedding,” Maje said.

Boago Kereng of Serenade Palace which specialises in hand made décor crafts for events was another vendor whose wares stood out at the expo. “Well our products are made up of recycled glass, recycled paper and the beads that we purchase from our free market stores and from Ghana.”
