Nandos hosts grill experience

Nandos recently invited representatives from the media to their Main Mall branch to have a first hand experience on how their food is prepared. The event started off with a tour inside the kitchen and staff members demonstrated how they prepare their meals to their customers before engaging in what seemed to be a hectic activity, moving up and down meeting customer needs and serving them. Despite the many orders that were coming in by the minute, staff members moved with ease, giving each order the attention it deserved.

In an interview Simiso Ncube, Brand and Training Manager at Nandos Botswana, revelead  that they were not ashamed to bring in people to come see what goes on behind closed doors when they are preparing meals. “We thought it necessary to assure the public that the way we handle and prepare our food here at Nandos is in line with international standards. We are even comfortable enough to bring people in to come see what we are doing and how make their food,” explained Ncube.

She further said that they are also planning a number of activities to celebrate their 20th anniversary. “We are going to give some of our lucky customers a chance to experience how we prepare our food,” she said. Ncube also expressed gratitude to media for the success of their brand for the past 20 years. “You are one of our key stakeholders in the success of our brand, because it is through media that we have been remembered for the great adverts that we published, since the start of our franchise. We have a great team at Nandos that works with a local agency to produce those adverts. In continuing to make this brand bigger we will maintain our partnership,” noted Ncube.

She also expressed gratitude to their customers. “I just want to thank Batswana for their continued support. We started small but because of the love and the support Batswana gave to us, we managed to beat all odds,” she said.
