The word is rarely surrounded by visual images of a calm classy atmosphere. The recently opened Absolut Bar in Lansmore Hotel epitomizes that feel; it is upmarket and trendy and a welcome addition to Gaborone’s entertainment scene.
The bar is located on the rooftop of the hotel, overlooking the city, and from high up, one can enjoy sundowners and soak up the city’s skyline with a backdrop if stunning summer sunsets. The Absolut brand is not new to owning the identity of trendy bars with their flagship bar in Stockholm Sweden being recognized as one of the premier entertainment venues in Europe. The Swedish establishment is famous for its annual Ice bar where during the cold winter month the bar is crafted entirely out of ice.
“Absolut is an elegant and sophisticated place to have a drink without being pickpocketed and the bar is a nice addition to the hotel. We needed a structure on the rooftop and the Absolut is just right for that. Our clients will have lovely summers up here, ” says the Hotel’s Manager, Rupert Elliot.
Besides signature cocktails, the bar serves up a varied menu for hungered patrons and drinks include beer, wines, spirits, whiskeys as well as juices. Entrance to Absolut is free on weekdays while a fee of P100 is charged on Fridays and Saturdays. This applies to those who do not stay in the hotel.
