Rollers South African player to wait until January window

Young South African player, Simon Goldsbrough, who is on the books of Township Rollers, will have to wait until the Gaborone giants clear their foreign quota which already has three players.
As long as his countryman, Manqoba Ngwenya, Namibian Jerome Louis and Malawian Lawrence Majawa are still registered with Rollers, Goldsbrough will still be illegible to play.
Therefore, his hopes are pinned on Rollers to offload or sacrifice one of the three, or maybe they get lucrative offers elsewhere.

The 20-year old came to Botswana with his parents this year when they moved from South Africa to work here. He featured in Rollers pre-season training and came in as a substitute in Gunners 7-0 drubbing in a Kabelano Charity Cup match. The left back is currently a student at the University of Botswana and is still training with Rollers.

“Goldbrough is still our player and has been playing in unofficial games. He will have to wait for his chance and see what happens in the next transfer window (January). If one player goes and he is still around he could be registered. But the final decision lies with the technical team,” said Team Manager Motshegetsi Mafa in an interview.

The white player whose father is from Capetown and mother from the United Kingdom, enrolled at one of UK famous football academies, the Football CV Academy.
Goldsbrough will be with the Rollers team that is visiting Tamasane village during the Independence day for social responsibility activities.
