Specialty Food Magazine in the UK had advertised for global entrants and applicants had to to demonstrate why they should be considered for the shortlist and we made it!” the elated CEO of Maungo Craft Bonolo Monthe told Time Out.
The New Producer Awards are split into seven categories namely; New Concept, Innovator, British Brand, Sustainable Business, Young Producer, Crowd Funded Business and Farm-to-Fork. Winners will not only boast the coveted accolade, but will also receive coverage in the pages of Speciality Food as well as an opportunity to present their products to buyers, wholesalers and key influencers in the fine food world.
When asked what a win would mean for their brand, Monthe said it would be an opportunity to put Botswana on the map for gourmet food and it’s a chance for Maungo Craft to play a pioneering role in Botswana’s fledgling tourism movement.
