Simba leaves Gabz Fm

Socialite and radio personality Simba Mudereri who has been hosting the afternoon drive show which is one of the most sort after time slots following the morning and evening slots has officially left Gabz Fm. After 5 years at the radio station that first introduced him to the world of radio, Mudereri bid his fans farewell in his last show recently.

“When I first walked into this radio station 5years ago I knew nothing about Radio, A friend of mine who was on radio at the time Jazelle Kebakile had just convinced me to try radio because I had the voice for it so I tried it. With time I learnt a lot of things, about the technicalities of radio, about dealing with different people and about myself and I have enjoyed every moment of my stay there,” says Mudereri.

He adds,  “People don’t know this but I am naturally a shy person and I have always had trouble speaking in front of people. Radio has helped me overcome my fear of public speaking; I interviewed a lot of people on and off the show and the more I got confident I eventually tried out being Mc at gigs and that has worked out well too. Radio has also afforded me the opportunity to meet amazing people, relevant people with political influence, heads of states, musicians etc.” Mudereri reveals that even though he has left Gabz Fm, he still wants to be on radio.

As to where he will be going next, Mudereri says his future is still unknown. In one of the social networking sites, he recently posted  a picture in a red Yarona Fm t-shirt with a caption reading “So … Since my last show on #GabzFM, I keep getting asked where I’m going to next … Honestly, I still have NO idea guys … But, do y’all think I should get more red T-Shirts? I really like red.

TShirts.#Seriously#NotHintingAtAnything#JustFuelingTheFlame#WhereShouldIGoTho#Oooh#JoiningTheBeardGang #BeardEnvy #TooManyHashTags#Done” suggesting that he could be going to the youthful Yarona Fm. Mudereri was also seen tagged in South African actor and talent agency owner Rosie Motene’s facebook status in which she was welcoming him as their lasted addition to Waka Agency. Further suggesting that he could be relocating to South Africa to join radio there.

When asked about if he has his eye on any of the stations, he  chuckles and says if there are opportunities there he would consider joining their line up.
