Satisfy your sweet tooth

I cook, You eat

Its mid month, not everyone can afford to take their loved ones out for a pricey meal and a dessert to match. What better way to console your loved ones than to bring that Milky Lane or Wimpy experience home by making your home made waffles from scratch and a milkshake on the side, easy and affordable.
Chocolate waffle
Ingredients: Full cream milk (2 cups; measurement size), Flour (2 cups), melted butter (4 tablespoons), sugar (¼ of a cup), salt (½ a teaspoon), baking powder (2 teaspoons), baking soda (2 teaspoons), 3 eggs (separated into 3 yolks and 3 egg whites), melted brown chocolate, cooking spray.
In a bowl, add your dry ingredients; flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, whisk to incorporate all the ingredients well and set aside. In a separate bowl add brown sugar and the melted butter, mix together using a whisk.
Separate three eggs yolks and whites, add the yolks to the butter and brown sugar mixture and mix well, add the two cups of milk to the mixture. In yet another separate bowl, add melted  chocolate and whisk until it becomes a paste like finish. Add your mixture into the bowl that contains the melted chocolate and continue to whisk for about 30 seconds.
Add the wet mixture to the first bowl which has dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt) and whisk or mix with a table spoon, lumps may appear but ignore them. Beat egg whites and add them into the mixture in a folding motion.
Apply a cooking spray on a waffle iron. Heat a waffle iron for about four minutes and add the batter into the waffle iron for approximately four minutes.
Oreo Milkshake
Ingredients: Oreo biscuits, 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream, 1 cup of milk, peeled chocolate flakes.
Insert five oreo biscuits in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin to smash the oreos into small chunks. In a blender, add the crushed oreos, three scoops of vanilla ice cream and milk and turn the blender to the highest speed. You may use less a smaller portion of milk if you want a thick milkshake. Use the blender for 20-30 seconds and your milkshake will be ready.
Instead of using store bought whip cream, you can make your own cream at home. Add two cups of heavy cream to a bowl and beat with a hand mixer for five minutes, add icing sugar at each two minute interval to give it a bit of taste. Once you are done, add the whipped cream into a piping bag and form a circular motion in the middle of your waffle and add smarties or sprinkles for decoration purposes.
Finally add the whipped cream as your milkshake topping, using a peeler, scrub a chocolate bar and add the flakes at the tip of the cream topping.
