Baby products market explored
It has become common for parents to travel as far as Johannesburg South Africa in search of quality baby products at great stress and expense. The second annual Halo Nana The Baby and Toddler expo slated for is September 5th and 6th at the Botswana National Youth Council, under the theme “Baby’s First Steps – Love & Care.” aims to ease these challenges. Halo Nana’s aim to provide convenient, innovative products, parenting tips and advice is extended to mothers and fathers, expectant parents and individuals keen on learning about parenting.
The Exhibition provides a trade platform for products and services such as baby’s room interior decor, nappies and accessories, toys & play grounds, clothing, bags, maternity wear, strollers, car-seats & walkers, baby showers & parties services, safety, health & wellbeing, mum’s health & wellbeing, photography, fun learning and education, and many more.
Baby Expo Tuduetso Mokgosi Organiser explained that the baby expo serves as a platform for new businesses to network and interact with existing and new customers; to find out what their needs are, how to cater to their needs, how to grow their product basket and how to stay relevant to their audience. “Many expectant parents and new mothers still travel to South Africa to purchase products that they say aren’t provided locally. By networking and interacting with the expo’s target audience, entrepreneurs can spot those needs and use them to their advantage, and maybe spot business gaps to be exploited.” she said.
Banyana Segwagwa, owner of kids clothing retail store at Game City, also founder of Bricks 4 Kidz, says the expo is a good platform for people doing similar business, adding that, “the children’s market is untapped, and still developing. For example at Baneng, we offer premium brands which some Batswana go all the way to Cape Town for.”
