Mgadla signs for Gunners

Former Gaborone United winger Mandla Mgadla has joined Extension Gunners on a two year contract. The move was confirmed by Gunners coach Daniel ‘Chicco’ Nare during an interview with Gazette Sport, Nare expressed his delight after signing a player he believes will add value to the team.
Mgadla left United a month ago, the winger was one of the club’s decent players in the past two seasons but was discarded along with other released players. Gunners, who are also in need of midfield reinforcements, capitalized on the player’s availability by signing him after assessing him during training spells in the last few weeks.
“Mandla has joined us on a two year deal, we can confirm that. He is a welcome addition to our squad because of the qualities he has displayed in the league. He has plenty of Premier League experience, that is a bonus because he will not need time to settle into the league. He can score goals, he has pace, delivers good crosses and most importantly his final pass is impressive,” said Nare.
The coach was quick to shut down rumours of an interest in Township Rollers duo Jerome Louis and Gofaone Tiro who were reported targets of the Lobatse outfit. Louis, a proven goal scorer, fitted the description of the striker the club craves while Tiro’s creativity would have also added depth and quality to a midfield department Nare said needed ‘major surgery’ in the January transfer window.
“It is wrong to talk about players who are contracted to another club, the players you have asked about are Rollers players. There is absolutely no truth in rumours linking us with those players, we understand that during the transfer window we will be linked with numerous players, that is the nature of the game and we cannot control it,” Nare concluded.
