2018 will kick start with The Meat Extravaganza- a new addition to the country’s calendar of events which is slated for 31st March at The Hideout Farm- just a kilometer before the Tlokweng Border Post.
“We started this concept because we realised there are very few events in Tlokweng and we will be identifying a charity organisation which we will be giving back to in the village. The intention is to attract more than 3000 revelers from all corners of the country,” said one of the event’s organisers Bono Mmusi.
The event is organized by SAMKET group, wholly citizen owned company with vast experience in events planning. “SAMKET distributes meat to some SADC countries. For the meat festival we will be serving different kinds of meat including game meat to revelers. There would also be a campsite in the neighbouring farm to give those who have traveled from far a nearby accommodation as well as company stalls that deal with meat products,” Lebopo Bulayani said. SAMKET group says they already have an overwhelming interest from neighbouring countries and will pull all the stops to ensure that the event’s attendants are happy with their service, organization and a ‘beefed up’ security.
Tickets for the event are already on sale, P250 a couple, P150 single, P80 kids, P500 VIP. Stalls are sold for P5000 corporates with two VIP tickets and SMMEs stalls cost P1500.
