Black Panther: The Most Anticipated Film of 2018

Marvel superhero movie, Black Panther will open in cinemas on 16th February. The movie  blockbuster features South African talent and it was recently reported that Babes Wodumo, Sjava and Saudi collaborated with international artists on its soundtrack. Babes Wodumo is on a song called Redemption with international artist Zacari, while Sjava is on a song called Seasons with Mozzy and Reason. Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk. The hard truth according to Vox is that there have been 17 Marvel movies (including Spider-Man: Homecoming, Marvel’s joint venture with Sony), and none of them have had a woman or person of color as the titular or central character. That will finally change with Black Panther, the first Marvel movie about a black superhero and judging by the first reactions to the film which had its world premiere a fortnight ago, it’s a huge milestone!
