Local female stand up comedian Lebo ‘Enigma’ Tsiako has received yet another invitation to perform in the Kingdom of Swaziland where she will be one of the headliners on October 21.
Enigma is set to perform in a show dubbed Hilarious Queens, which she will headline alongside Mandy Ginindza, a top female comic in Swaziland. This will be Enigma’s third time performing in Swaziland in 2016.
The comic, who is extremely excited about the upcoming gig, noted that the invitations have shown her that Swaziland recognizes and appreciate her craft.
The Hilarious Queens comedy show is an initiative supporting breast cancer awareness. “October has been noted as a month of Breast Cancer Awareness, this show is close to my chest and heart. The point is to bring laughter or rather light hearted humor to the issue especially that cancer is no laughing matter. We have been discussing the possibility of the show since my last show there and now it’s set,” said Enigma.

She has not only built a fan base in Swaziland but also created relations with a number of artists and entities in Swaziland- such as Mdura who is one of the leading comedians in the Swati kingdom.
“I have secured a strong foundation in building a relationship with the Swaziland audience through my sheer determination, courage, sprinkle of mad genius and love of laughter. I genuinely enjoy my performances and the passion is evident in the crowd’s response. The first time I performed at the Mbabane Theatre Club I received a good response, the second time was a larger and happier audience,” she said.
Enigma even got the attention of Swaziland media as she is often profiled on various Swati publications. With her  performances in the country, she says she has conceptualized an entity that aims to unite Batswana and Swati artists and craft.
“The show is part of my upcoming campaign #BoSwa of connecting our art in a mutually symbiotic manner because we have a rich history of unity with us having been frontline states,” she explained.
Enigma believes that the Swaziland gig has paved way for her comedy career to perform regionally and internationally.
Over the years, the funny woman has proved herself to be a fearless comedian as she has been the only visible female comic in the country holding it down in the male dominated industry. She has previously had an opportunity of performing alongside comedy giants such as Dignash and Kansiime Anne.
