Local R&B artist Emulo Kgomotso, best known as Licky has released her EP titled 4 A Moment. The effortless offering belies the fact that this is only her third year as an artist in a relatively new genre in Botswana’s music scene. The EP is remarkably sound as it flips through varied styles of R&B, showcasing her boundless talent.
Licky started making music in 2014 but officially dropped her debut single in 2015, dubbed Free Love. “I chose R&B because I grew up listening to hip hop and R&B. For me it’s the most genuine thing for me to make as I am not a fan of house or any other type of genre,” she revealed.
The EP is a compilation of work that she has crafted over the last three years at Heartbeat Sounds.  4 A Moment is also the first track on the EP which basically everything about Licky. “I love to create and listen to music at 4 AM, hence the name, because it is quiet and I can think clearly. The EP seeks to communicate that this is me and this is what I can do,” the sultry songbird said.
The EP was produced by heavyweight producers Prezbeats and Bangu with songs that are meant to embolden passion and songs about love to inspire any situation the listener may be going through . The EP also features artists such as Orakle, Bouncy and Dramaboi. She revealed, “We just got into the studio with the featured artists,  and if we liked what came out, we put it out. The features are really organic.”
