Nare calls for patience at Gunners

Extension Gunners coach Daniel ‘Chicco’ Nare has called for patience as he aims to rectify the Lobatse outfit’s dismal form. The coach has acknowledged his side’s struggles at all departments of the field and hinted that they will be busy in the January transfer window to address their dip in form.

The club has failed to register a win in their last 11 games in all competitions. “We need to improve in all areas of the field. When I first arrived we had problems of conceding early goals in most of our matches. Goalkeeping mistakes have also been a problem for us this season, we need to improve in that area. We have to improve our defending as a group and as individuals. There is also a shortage of quality and depth in the midfield area, that has affected our creativity and service to the strikers. Our strikers have also been short in terms of sharpness,” said Nare.

“We are working on improving ourselves. It is a process, we will not fix our situation overnight. I am working hard to get the team back on track. We have three games left before the festive break, we aim to gain maximum points before the break,” the Gunners coach continued.

Nare admitted that his side needs “major surgery” in the transfer window in order to improve. Although he refused to reveal the names of his transfer targets, he noted that he would be interested in signing a local goalkeeper, a defender and a striker if the technical team finalizes their transfer list. The club has been heavily linked with a move for former Gilport Lions forward Sageby Sandaka in recent months.
