Team Botswana participated at the 2019 Africa Beach Games (Karate) held in Cape Verde last week. The men’s kata team which comprised of Ofentse Bakwadi, Thebe Duna and Tlotlang Ponatshego won a silver medal.
The women’s kata team, which was made up of Lame Hetanang, Centy Kgosikoma and Entle Maungwa earned a bronze medal for their efforts. Bakwadi also collected a bronze medal in the male individual kata while Maungwa also collected a bronze medal in the female individual kata.
