Miscellaneous Sporting Club’s Public Relations Officer Edwin Ntau has revealed that the club has struck a partnership with Botswana Life Insurance Limited. The two year kit sponsorship will see the club donning the company’s brand next season.
The Serowe outfit produced their best league performance in recent years by clinching a Mascom Top 8 berth for next season, they finished sixth following promotion to the top tier of Botswana football. Their performances have seen them attract a sponsor of the caliber of Botswana Life.
“We have struck a two year deal with Botswana Life. Our deal is somewhat of a 50-50 partnership because we will do our part by encouraging our supporters to invest in Botswana Life’s schemes, they also need mileage and we will honour our agreement,” Ntau stated.
Ntau added that they will stage an awards ceremony to honour their players’ achievements on July 30. He stated that they are still finalizing negotiations with an undisclosed sponsor to finance the event. “Negotiations with our potential sponsor are at an advanced stage, we will only reveal more when we have concluded talks. We are expecting to conclude talks this week,” he continued.
According to the Miscellaneous PRO, they are set to announce six new players (two foreigners and four local players) next week, the identities of the players have not been released pending the completion of the transfers.
