Rapper Euri welcomed the New Year with good news tidings as he recently revealed that he is signed under Mafia Soul’s sister company Rock the City Music which will help brand him.
“Last year November I officially signed a two year contract with Rock the City Music. I have been an independent artist since I started my career and I wanted to see my brand grow, I needed a team that could add to what I already had. Rock the City Music are the right people because what they are offering could get me where I wanted to be as an artist. Every artist’s dream is to see their music being played everywhere and this team could take me there,” said the award winning rapper.
He also added that Rock The City Music will be providing him with a management and record deal, “They will be branding me, I will also sell their products as well as stocking my merchandise which I will reveal soon. I will be releasing a new single from my 2015 album this month with Rock The City Music,” he said.
Owner of Rock The City Music and Mafia Soul, Molefi Nkwete confirmed in an interview that they signed Euri. “We have a partnership/ joint venture with Euri and our focus is to develop his brand. We will be his creative team, sourcing collaborations, creating avenues, increasing his visibility, organizing the production team and expand his music to a wider audience that is to South Africa and beyond. We would like to see his music playing in continental TV stations and create a digital leverage for his brand,” he said.
When asked if they will be welcoming other artists under their stable soon Nkwete said, “There are a lot of artists we would like to work with and we are not going to mention any names, as for now we are just going to work with what we have.”
Euri is still signed with the international music publishing company, Sheer Publishing which covers publishing for his album aptly titled, From Francistown With Love, as well as his previous 2 award winning releases as well as ensuring recognition of his products from royalty collection societies across the globe including South Africa’s SAMRO.
“I still have a 5 year contract with Sheer Publishing and they have a different role from Rock The City Music,” he added.
