Masquerade Ball on the cards

This Friday the 27th of November, patrons are in for treat as Absolut Gaborone at Lansmore Masa Square brings the Absolut Masquerade Ball. In association with the Bar Stars Academy, Absolut will host world renowned mixologist and best margarita maker, Kurt Schlechter, for a night of great entertainment. On the decks will be local DJs Tabiill, Rudboi and Homie who will create the perfect ambience for the patrons on and off the dance floor.

Schlechter will be joining Benju (PTY) LTD, which is the official agents of the French owned alcoholic beverages company, Pernod Ricard in Botswana hosting the Bar Stars Academy  to mark the finale of International Bar Stars Academy, during which fourteen barmen from across Gaborone have received first hand training from Schlechter himself. Schlechter is well known for his mixes and flair, and has fast earned acclaim for his involvement with Bar Stars, a three-phase bartending development programme currently running across Africa. The programme aims to raise industry standards and provide personal development for participants.

“It  has been an incredible pleasure to have Kurt with us and to see some of our most talented in the team undergo the Bar Stars training and thrive. The programme is incredible in that it works to improve the overall competency of bartenders through theoretical learning and practical application. This finale, a real celebration of talent, marks a night of Absolut magic. We welcome all to attend and be a part of something sensational,” said Phillida Webster, Absolut Gaborone Bar Manager.

Patrons are advised that a masquerade attire is the dress code for the night with the first 150 people receiving  complimentary masquerade masks to add further excitement to the theme. Tickets are available upon entry at Absolut. Tickets cost P150 before 8pm and P200 thereafter.
