Ms Elté signs with international management company

Contemporary R&B artist, Ms Elté has taken her music to the international market as she recently signed a management contract with Mcvaigh Artist Development and Management Company based in New York, USA.

“I decided to go with them because they showed interest in my music and appreciated me as an artist and my music. They showed the capacity to be able to work with me regardless of where I am in the world but obviously looking at me moving to the US at some point if all goes well. They acknowledge my goals and want to work with me on achieving them and want to be part of my success. They believe in me probably more than I believe in myself,” she said.

She further revealed that the agreement between her as an artist and the management is to represent her and market her in different places around the world. “I hope to be recognized worldwide. I would love to be part of Botswana’s music industry’s growth, showing that we are capable of doing great as well. I would also like to encourage other local artists to take up the opportunity to work with International artists because there is much more you learn from other artists who have experience from elsewhere. In this industry, you are always learning because this industry evolves,” she said.
Ms Elté is currently working on her debut album. “I have pushed my album’s release to March 2015. It will be an EP album consisting of 6 tracks minimum. Tracks will be written by me alongside a couple of people in Botswana and well established and recognized songwriters and producers in the US. This will include my first single gotta go and my second upcoming single blessed,” Elté said.
Commenting on who she would like to collaborate with she said, “Sasa Klaas, she is on fire I have great respect for her. She is not scared to express herself you just can’t ignore her or shut her down. Powerful young lady, with her i know i will be able to unleash what i may have locked up, explore & push boundaries. MVP and Tshepo Lesole, i respect these men for how they use their music, what they stand for. With them i know i will be able to express my spiritual side. Samantha Mogwe we are long overdue for collaboration and it shall come. I believe her and I could be powerful and inspire young girls; we could make a change.”
