Hildah Binang has expressed her excitement ahead of her first ever overseas netball experience. Her stint at the club will end on May 24th upon the conclusion of the tournament.

The jubilant 20 –year- old told Gazette Sport that she is relishing the chance of testing herself overseas. “This will be my first experience in a foreign league. I am really excited and looking forward to competing in Singapore. My club coach told me about the possibility of going to Singapore a week before the Botswana Netball Association president, Tebogo Lebotse confirmed the news,” said Binang.

She revealed that she harbours dreams of a permanent stint in a foreign league in the future. Binang will work with a trainer who hails from New Zealand during morning training sessions and her routine indicates that she will join her club mates for afternoon sessions on a daily basis.

Meanwhile, her team, Sneakers, is currently on an impressive start to the league season. The club has won three of its first four games in the league. Sneakers’ form has helped them command second place in the league standings; they are trailing leaders Mission Mannas by a single point. The Botswana player could make her debut on Saturday when her side takes on Magic Marlins.
The top four teams in the league will qualify for the playoffs after the regular season. The Super League title will be contested by the top four teams which will face each other in two semi finals vying for a place in the final.

Hildah said she has eyes set on the Most Valuable Player International award. “ It would be a great achievement to win an accolade in the tournament,” concluded Binang.
