Former BNSC CEO in court

Former Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director of Yarona FM, Percy Raditladi on Friday appeared before Broadhurst Magistrate together with Phenyo Ngakane, Director at Highway Tricks and a police officer, Letsholo Mmereki, to face charges of indecent assault, abuse of office and criminal tresspass.

 

In the first count of indecent assault, it is alleged that Raditladi on or about the 7th of June, 2013, at Phiring Extension 43 in Gaborone, unlawfully and indecently assaulted a certain Khumoetsile Johannes by fondling his genital (penis).

 

On the second count of abuse of office, it is alleged that Raditladi on or about the 19th of July, 2013 in Gaborone, whilst being a person employed in the Public Service (BNSC) as the CEO, in abuse of the authority of his office, knowingly and without lawful authority hired a motor vehicle from Avis Car Rental Services in the name of BNSC to run his personal errands; to wit, by giving the said motor vehicle to Highway Tricks, a company offering private investigating services to be used for his personal errands which were to stalk Johannes.

 

On the 3rd count of criminal trespass, it is alleged that Ngakane, Mmereki and another who was not before the court on or about the 18th of July, 2013 at Bokamoso Private Hospital premises, acting together and in consent, entered into the hospital premises with intent to intimidate and/or annoy Johannes who lawfully resided at the premises.

 

Each of the trio was granted P2, 000. 00 bail with a condition that they do not interfere with witnesses. They are all represented by Kgosiitsile Ngakaagae and will appear for mention on the 16th October.
