MiCasa to thrill Gaborone

Popular house group Mi Casa will return to Gaborone on the 20th of December after an absence of almost a year to perform the latest material from their August released , 16-track album titled Mi Casa Su Casa
The “Heavenly Sent” hit makers will perform the album’s first break away hit Jika alongside local artists Scar, Lizibo, DJ Sly, House Junkies, Ricki Lamar, NT-Base, Phouboy and T.H.A.B.O.  The show’s ordinary tickets are presold at P100, P150 at the gate, P250 for VIP tickets which are available at Studio 88 stores.

 
Fresh off a whirlwind tour that included performances in Dubai, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe, their new album is packed with brilliant songs and includes production by industry heavy weight DJ Black Coffee and a collaboration with R&B singer Jimmy Nevis.

 

Mi Casa comprises of vocalist-guitarist J-Something, trumpeter Mo-T and producer and keyboardist Dr Duda and has only been together for two years. Mi Casa has gained massive popularity from their catchy, feel good,  vocal house tunes including their debut single These Streets, which went on to win Record of the Year at the 2012 SAMAs.

 
Speaking to Time Out, the event coordinator Phenyo Mooketsi of House Nations Entertainment said, “We expect that since they have been away for a year now, they have grown a lot from what we witnessed in their previous shows here. We promise to give our audience a fun filled, well planned and successful show.”
