Osman appointed Head of Global Markets at Standard Bank Malawi

Stanbic Bank Botswana has announced the appointment of Lesego Osman as Head of Global Markets at Standard Bank Malawi. Osman has assumed his new role within the Standard Bank Group and he is based in Lilongwe.

We believe in leveraging off the opportunities and possibilities across the Group and are incredibly proud to see Lesego benefit from this,” said Stanbic Bank Chief Executive, Leina Gabaraane.

 
Osman wields a wealth of academic and vocational experience, including an Executive Management Global Consulting Practicum from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania in the United States of America and a Masters in Business Administration majoring in Finance from the University of Botswana. He also studied for a Bachelor of Information Systems with a minor in Commerce from La Trobe University, Australia.

 
He has technical training in Bank Credit Management, ACI Dealing Certificate and Treasury Bourse Game. He also holds a Diploma in Fundamentals of Capital Market Development and a Certificate in Personal and Professional Leadership. In addition, Osman holds the position of Director Part 1 with the South African Institute of Directors.

 
He boasts a professional career within the banking sector of nine years, five of which have been within the Standard Bank Group family. During this time, he has held positions at both Standard Bank South Africa and Stanbic Bank Botswana. “This is yet another example of a young Motswana proudly flying the Botswana flag high in representing us within other markets. We have every confidence Lesego will excel in this new role,” said Gabaraane.
