The 2018 Audi A5 Sportback is both sexy and functional

The 2018 Audi range has added an exciting new family member, the A5 Sportback, to its long line of uber cool German sedans , making this year a great one for the enthusiasts of the brand.
At first glance, the sweeping yet aerodynamic lines of the A5 coupe, interior space and the addition of two more doors (similar to the four door Audi A4 layout), convenience of an automatic tailgate similar to the Audi Q5 SUV- the 2018 Audi Sportback has managed to nail aesthetics with form and function.
The sharp, prominent and minimalistic creases which seem to evoke a sense of athleticism, clam shell bonnet and flat flowing roof line with a standard panoramic sunroof all scream, “Look at me! I’m sporty!” The optional Matrix LED headlights that are wrapped around the larger signature Audi grille give the A5 an aggressive yet sultry look, with high-precision, individually controllable light-emitting diodes that adapt to a variety of road conditions.
Larger front and rear bumpers, more visible side-sill extensions, and S-line fender badges hint to the Audi’s rally racing pedigree as do the the wheel arches which are also bigger, giving room to the large 18 or 19 inch alloy wheels. As you move along to the back, you notice the dual chrome exhaust tips on either side and the beautiful rear indicator signals that lights up progressively. That is a really cool addition!
Once you step inside, you really appreciate the seamless styling cues that flow from the exterior. Keyless entry, leather upholstery, three-zone automatic climate control and ambient interior lighting are standard fare with this model. As you move up the range, heated front seats with memory settings can be added, including the 12.3 inch digital gauge display. All models are fitted with an impressive 8.3 inch infotainment screen that hosts many technologies and can be operated either by touch or the virtual control/knob situated on the centre console. Frankly, the controls are just where you’d want them to be as a driver! The A5’s seats are firm and form fitting for comfortable driving. The cabin has low noise, complimented by the adaptive suspension which gives you a smoother ride.
The Audi A5 Sportback is available in three models: the A5 1.4 TFSI (110 KW) which is a four cylinder petrol engine with direct fuel injection, the A5 2.0 TFSI (140KW) a four cylinder petrol engine with direct fuel injection, turbocharging and Audi valvelift system and the A5 2.0 TFSI (185KW) four cylinder inline petrol engine with direct fuel injection, turbocharging and Audi valvelift system.
The 2018 A5 Sportback is a well equipped car with great luxuries that makes for the perfect driver experience, plus the added bonus of being a 4 door sedan…. only sexier!
