- Pageantry announces more locations for this year’s auditions

In a historic step, national pageantry Miss Botswana is expanding its auditions footprint for the 2023/2024 season.
They will be conducted in 23 different locations across the country from 6 October to 4 November 2023, making this a significant development for the pageant.
“This expansion is driven by our commitment to discovering the finest talent and potential in the country and to give aspiring beauty queens a platform to shine,” said Miss Botswana Organisation in a statement.
Significant milestone
“This year’s auditions will be marking a significant milestone in the history of this prestigious pageant. They will be launched by reigning queen Lesego Chombo.”
In addition to the search for the next Miss Botswana, the organisation will also be scouting for especially visionary Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) operating within the beauty and fashion industry to become an integral part of the journey to Miss World TV Show that will be aired exclusively on Botswana Television.
National Beauty and Fashion Expo
To complement the auditions, Miss Botswana Organisation will also introduce a series of mini-beauty expos at district level as a build-up to the National Beauty and Fashion Expo that is scheduled for February 2024.
This National Beauty and Fashion Expo is a by-product of Miss Botswana and was introduced last year to create a platform for SMEs in the beauty and fashion industry to showcase their products and network with international industry giants and an opportunity to retail their products in large retail chain stores locally and internationally.
“The National Beauty and Fashion Expo is a pivotal event for the industry with the aim of opening doors for local businesses to showcase their products on a global scale, says the statement released by Miss Botswana Organisation.
“The Mini Beauty and Fashion Expos during the auditions will provide a sneak peek into the innovation and creativity that the National Expo promises. Stay tuned for more information on audition venues and dates.”
