Shekhinah’s no show explained weeks after event

We have met all contractual obligations- event organizers

Weeks after patrons of The White Picnic came out with guns blazing to call out event’s organizers for Shekhinah’s non appearance at their event scheduled for Sunday 7th 2019, organizers have responded to the scam allegations. Revelers decried lack of delivery on the part of the organisers accusing them of robbing them of their hard earned money. In their defense the organizers said the Suited crooner’s inability to travel was beyond their control and worse off, it was communicated to them later in the day.

“As organizers of the event we met all the contractual obligations and had everything lined up as per previous discussion with the artist’s management. By stating that we met contractual obligations we deny that the event was ever a scam as has been alluded on Facebook,” they stated, further apologizing to patrons for the headlining act’s non appearance.

They further explained that the South African star’s travel cancellations also led to the subsequent cancellation of Amantle Brown’s performance as they felt the overall impact of the event’s performers would not be the same as was originally intended. The cancellation also resulted in the cancellation of all the disc jockeys scheduled to perform at the event.

“Furthermore, due to uncertainty of the weather we took the precautionary measure to move the event indoors to avoid any unforeseen circumstances. This was also motivated by the fact that it was raining the previous day and as such set up could not be done outdoors,” they stated.

However, they are currently in communication with Shekhinah’s management to map a way forward and more details will be communicated soon.
