While Mothusi Cooper is currently on national duty with the Zebras at the 2022 COSAFA Cup, his club Mouloudia Club (MC) Oujda has survived relegation after securing an important 3-0 win over Chabab Mohammedia last weekend.

The win has ensured that Cooper will still be a premier league player in the Botola Pro next season after weeks of being anxious and looking over their shoulders. Cooper has made only three senior appearances for the team, he has started only one game.
His progression in the team has been slightly delayed by participating in national team games. The player will be hopeful of more first team chances next season as he has to finish the 2021/2022 season donning Zebras colours. Cooper’s teammates have managed to steady the ship in his absence with an end of season turnaround.

After being situated in the relegation zone for a majority of the second half of the season, the team recently went on an eight game unbeaten run. The run includes two wins and six draws. Avoiding defeat has helped the team move from the 14th spot to the 12th spot.
