Since becoming the administrative sponsor of the Botswana Table Tennis Association (BTTA) last year, Jin Motors has significantly enhanced the organisation’s operational strength, positioning it for sustainable growth.
BTTA recently highlighted this vital contributions of Jin Motors’ in a statement, commending the partnership’s transformative impact on Botswana’s table tennis community.
The statement noted how Jin Motors’ sponsorship has allowed the association to secure essential resources, enabling a streamlined focus on organisational efficiency and expanding table tennis outreach across Botswana.
Stronger administrative functions
“Jin Motors’ sponsorship has transformed BTTA’s administrative capabilities, improving the structure and management of operations,” the association stated.
“This support has allowed BTTA to streamline event organisation, enhance player registrations, and maintain steady communication with athletes and coaches.
“With stronger administrative functions, the association has been able to focus on promoting table tennis at grassroots levels and creating pathways for emerging talent.”
Beyond bolstering administrative operations, Jin Motors’ involvement has heightened the sport’s visibility within the Botswana community, fostering a growing base of participants and supporters.
Table tennis popularity

Int’l umpires
In a related milestone, BTTA recently reported that two of the 15 aspiring local umpires who took the prestigious International Umpires (IU) examination passed.
The association noted that by passing the challenging test, Emmah Lelatisitswe and Kefilwe Rasengwatshe marked an important advancement for Botswana’s table tennis officiating community.
Their achievement adds to a growing list of Botswana’s international representatives in the sport. They join Ritah Sebele, the country’s respected international umpire known for her expertise and presence on the global stage.
Inspiration
BTTA president, Kudzanani Motswagole, praised the new umpires, noting that their accomplishment reflects the calibre and dedication of Botswana’s officials.
“Emmah and Kefilwe’s achievement is a testament to the quality and dedication of Botswana’s officials, who are ready to excel internationally,” he said.
With their recent certification, Lelatisitswe and Rasengwatshe are now prepared to represent Botswana at international table tennis events, upholding the standards of officiating and raising the profile of Botswana’s table tennis community.
