“I am a player that likes to make sure that my teammates are more happy by bringing a good performance for the team. I like to dribble and to take players on, and put myself in a position to deliver in a perfect cross for my teammates to finish, and I would compare myself with Coutinho (Liverpool and Brazil Midfielder) even though my favourite player is Neymar (FC Barcelona and Brazil winger) and I’m working hard to player like him (Neymar)”.
The above sentiments of 20 year old Thabang Ositang who says, he is hoping to land a major move out in England in the near future, stating that three clubs are currently scouting him. Ositang, a former Township Rollers youth player plays as winger in England for Manchester Central, which he says, joined back in 2014. The player has returned home, as he hopes to get himself in the market before leaving for a professional contract back in the UK.
This publication caught up with the winger last week to learn more on him “I have three clubs back in the UK that are scouting me, professional club, so the reason why am back here (Botswana)is to market myself,” said Ositang. He carried that; “The thing is that I can not play in the UK without a work permit, so until am in the market, and have a value, that is when I can make the move. The teams that are scouting me, one is the Premier League, the other Championship and the last one, league one,” he said.
Pushed a bit further to reveal the names of the clubs, the player could only reveal two of the sides. “One thing that you need to understand is that, it is just scouting, which means am in their books, and they are keeping tabs on my progress. Two of the three clubs that have been monitoring me are Bury FC and Accrington Stanley.
At the moment I can not reveal the Premier League team, until it is something a bit concrete,” added the former Rollers youth. The 20 year old, who says has no intentions of returning back home to ply domestic football, revealed that he was unsure of when he would be leaving back to the England, citing that his manager (agent) was working on it.
