OREBONYE’S OCK STRUGGLING FOR CONSISTENCY

BONGANI MALUNGA

Tumisang Orebonye’s Moroccan club Olympique Club Khouribga (OCK) is undergoing a trying start to the 2022/2023 Botola Pro season. The team is currently struggling to build a winning run as they are yet to collect maximum points this season.

Living dangerously
OCK lost 3-2 against FUS Rabat last weekend to drop closer to the relegation and promotional playoff spot. They are currently 14th on the log with two draws and three defeats in the first five games of the league season so far.

Stuck on two points, OCK could find themselves in the relegation places if they do not win their next game against Maghreb Fes this Friday. OCK’s position could also be affected by other teams around them as RS Berkane and Ittihad Tanger can easily eclipse them with a single victory. This is OCK’s second season back in the main league, as it stands they look set to be in a relegation fight as their results continue to worsen.

Regular football
Despite undergoing a tough spell as part of a collective unit, Orebonye has enjoyed an extended run of first team football this season. He has started all of the team’s league games this season, lasting the whole 90 minutes in all of them.

Although Orebonye has not scored yet this season he supplied an assist in his club’s 2-1 defeat against Wydad Casablanca.
