Prisons Maintain Unbeaten Record In Women’s League

Prisons continued their unbeaten start to the Women’s Football League as they recorded an emphatic 14-0 win over Vicomates this past weekend. Prisons maintained their lead at the top of the Gaborone Region Women’s League, they are yet to concede a goal this season and they have scored 22 goals in the first four games, Prisons are currently three points ahead of Double Action.
The 14-0 defeat was the second heavy defeat in a row for Vicomates who also lost 7-0 against UB Kicks last week. Prisons’ goals were scored by Happy Lubinda who netted four goals in the game, Bame Ngenda who scored a hat-trick, Rolang Aupiti and Angelinah Segole who both scored a brace as well as Lesego Kelebogile, Pelotshweu Toteng and Nondi Mahlasela who rounded off the scoring in the double digit thumping.
Third placed UB Kicks, who are also unbeaten in the league this season, won 2-0 against Township Rollers over the weekend, UB Kicks have a game in hand and they could be level on points with log leaders Prisons if they win their spare game.
In other results Gaborone United beat Wonder Girls 2-0, Big Sisters defeated FC Legends 3-0, Double Action won 3-1 against FC Ambassadors and South East Girls beat Sharps by 2 goals to 1. In the Kweneng Region Mvela FC thumped Devine Brains 7-0, Mafuka won 10-1 against Delloite SC AND Mexican Girls beat Sikalekeke 8-0.
