Letso Leipego of Letz Photography has urged Batswana to vote for him in his recent nomination for the FNB Joburg Art Fair taking place on September 7th to the 9th at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. Leipego who recently showcased his solo photo exhibition titled, ‘Chasing My past’ is the only Motswana nominated under the new and exciting talent on the African continent among other African creatives.
“This is more exciting news for me. Please support by voting me as your favourite artist,” he briefly said.
The art fair features Leipego’s photography series titled, “A Sacrifice.” This series showcases elements of African hybrid religions mixed with Christianity. To vote for the nominated talent, the artist’s name is posted with #FNBJAF20 on Instagram or Twitter, or alternatively visit the FNB JoburgArtFair website to vote and stand a chance to win opening night tickets.
Voting will be open through August. On the week of FNB JoburgArtFair the top 20 artists that received the most votes will be announced, revealing the #FNBJAF20 of 2018. As the first international art fair on the continent, the FNB JoburgArtFair plays a pivotal role in supporting the contemporary arts landscape in Africa. The Fair provides a space for leading artists, galleries, collectors, writers, thinkers and art lovers to congregate.
