Miss Botswana Needs Financial Aid

  • Organisers says cost of keeping Chombo’s house in order is strenuous
  • Appeal for assistance to prepare for Miss World stage

In preparations for the Miss World stage, organisers of the national pageantry, Miss Botswana, have revealed that there is a great need for financial aid to assist the reigning queen, Lesego Chombo.

The Miss Botswana Organization has appealed to the local corporate, private and public sectors to ensure the queen succeeds in bringing the Miss World crown home to Botswana.

Financially strenuous
“The organisation’s daily running in keeping Chombo’s house in order is a financially strenuous one,” said Miss Botswana PR and communications executive, Tshepiso Solomon.
“The team is daily seeking her next engagement and partnership to strengthen her ties with Batswana as well as forge mutually beneficial relationships while preparations are currently at implementation stage with the first order of business being the official announcement of the Miss World pageant dates and location.”

Winning the world crown
The reigning queen has hit the ground running in preparations for the world stage after the festive season. From the onset, the Maun native shared her ambitions of winning the coveted Miss World crown this year and the Miss Botswana Organisation has stated its confidence in her doing just that.

“We would like to thank you all for the support thus far and look forward to a stronger bond as we hold hands to ensure Chombo’s dream of bringing the Miss World Crown home come to fruition,” Solomon said.

“The Miss Botswana Organisation would like to appeal to the public to invest in Miss Botswana 2022’s journey to the crown. Alone we can only do so much but together we can make it happen. Chombo has round the clock assistance from the Miss Botswana team for all her reign-related and personal needs.”

The queen’s calendar, daily private and work-related matters, grooming and styling are all in the hands of the team behind her. which includes PR and communications, photography and videography, chaperoning, a personal assistant, a stylist, wardrobe, designers/retailer, hair and makeup artists, a driver and social media management.

Beauty With A Purpose project
The reigning queen’s Beauty With A Purpose Project will be launching this January after Chombi announces its commencement with a Facebook live soon. Her Beauty With A Purpose project is about creating a conducive environment for economically disadvantaged children.
