Pangolin Chobe Hotel bags continental award 

  • Named Botswana’s Leading Hotel at World Travel Awards Africa Gala Ceremony 2024
  • Latest award adds to top honour given by global tourism agency Tripadvisor earlier this year

For the second consecutive year, the Pangolin Chobe Hotel emerged as Botswana’s top hotel at the World Travel Awards Africa Gala Ceremony that was held at the Diamonds Leisure and Gold Resort in Diani Beach, Kenya last week.

The award ceremony celebrates the best in African tourism as hotels, airlines, travel agencies and overall travel destinations are all put in the spotlight.

The award ceremony also has dedicated national awards for selected countries, with Botswana having six categories. The Pangolin Chobe Hotel was bestowed Botswana’s Leading Hotel award.

More awards for Botswana outfits 

In other categories, Botswana’s Leading Luxury Safari Lodge was awarded to & Beyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge.

Avis emerged as the country’s Leading Car Rental Company, Sanctuary Chief’s Camp won the Leading Safari Lodge award, North Island Okavango bagged the Leading Tended Safari Camp gong while the Leading Travel Agency award went to Safari Lifestyles.

The Pangolin Chobe Hotel’s latest honour adds to another top accolade that it earned from global tourism website, Tripadvisor, earlier this year. Tripadvisor is the most used tourism website which curates travel experiences for globe-trotting enthusiasts.

Tripadvisor’s Best Hotel 

The hotel was named as Tripadvisor’s Best Hotel in Kasane out of a list of 20. Pangolin Chobe has garnered positive reviews on the travel website as it currently has a five-star rating in terms of travellers’ experiences and reviews.

The hotel has generated 268 reviews with 260 rating their experience as “excellent” while seven reviewers stated that their stay was “very good” and only one visitor rating their stay as “average.”
