Youthful role models Sadi Dikgaka, Samantha Mogwe and Marang Molosiwa will be joining the SKY Girls team as they visit 42 schools across Botswana to help young school-going girls to build the skills to confidently refuse things they don’t want in their lives.
“Teenage girls often experience peer pressure, and can find it difficult to refuse certain things. Having the opportunity to practice refusing something can really help them. That’s why we came up with these sessions – to help girls practice saying no in a fun way, and in a safe environment,” said SKY spokesperson Tapiwa Manji.
The schools sessions will continue until the end of August.
