Sereetsi & the Natives makes MTN Bushfire lineup

Sereetsi & the Natives will be sharing the coveted MTN Bushfire stage alongside an all star lineup from the 24 to 26th May 2019. Listed by BBC as a ‘Top African festival’ the MTN Bushfire revealed that Sereetsi is considered a pioneer in the cultural landscape of Botswana and the band presents a fearless sound that blends traditional Botswana rhythms with Western influences.
“The sound is built around the signature sound and tradition of the four string folk guitar. The group has already shared the stage with established World Music names like Vusi Mahlasela, Caiphus Semenya, Jaziel Brothers, Letta Mbulu and McCoy Mrubata,” the organisers of the festival said in a statement.
Additionally, MTN Bushfire has also announced other African super stars who will take to the various stages, including the Main Stage, House on Fire Amphitheatre, and The Barn. These artists include, GranMah, the Dub / Reggae Fusion band from Mozambique, Dobet Gnahoré from Cote d’Ivore, Maia and the Big Sky from Kenya and Eme and Moonchild from Nigeria and South Africa respectively.
