Spirit of Praise slated for Gaborone

As part of their Spirit of Praise 7 tour, Spirit Music’s flagship concept which is a collection of the best South African gospel artists last week announced that they will be performing live in Gaborone at the UB Auditorium on the 10th November 2018.

The music show dubbed, “Rise Up with Spirit of Praise” is organized by production company Colours of Sound and they confirmed that the evergreen gospel ensemble will be in Gaborone with a full cast of stars from their latest offering. The all star lineup features Benjamin Dube, Neyi, Omega, Dube Brothers, Women in Praise, Tshepang Mphuthi, Dumi Mkokstad as well as other surprise guest artists.
Alongside Joyous Celebrations, Spirit of praise is a Sunday staple for many households and well known for sold out shows at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena because of their overwhelming public demand. With their modern spin on traditional hymns, Spirit of Praise makes spiritual and emotional connections with their audience through their performances and developing upcoming talent throughout the years and helped revive the gospel music genre. The ensemble always delivers on their promise of a grand gospel entertainment and worship to gospel music enthusiasts.
The founder of Spirit of Praise and High Praise Centre, Benjamin Dube recorded his first single, Holy Spirit, in 1986. It was a cross-over hit song that topped charts on local radio stations and sold over 25 000 units in the year of its release in South Africa. Catering for audiences of all age groups and background, Spirit of Praise’s previous offering includes volumes 1 to 6, which reached both Gold and Platinum status as well as scooped two SAMA Awards and seven Gospel Crown Awards.
