Jwaneng Galaxy are celebrating a major boost after clinching a substantial P1.5 million sponsorship deal with Naledi Mining Company Services.
This significant financial injection is seen as a timely windfall, particularly that the team is gearing up for participation in the CAF Championship that is known for its considerable logistical and accommodation expenses.
The spokesman for Galaxy, Tankiso Morake, expressed immense gratitude for their newfound support in a telephone interview thus: “We feel that we are blessed to secure such sponsorship from Naledi.

Logistics and accommodation expenses
“It came at a right time, especially considering the hefty costs associated with playing in the CAF Championship, primarily concerning logistics and accommodation expenses.”
Morake underscored the importance of such partnerships, stating: “When you have someone like Naledi come on board to partner with you, it is truly remarkable.
“Naledi’s support is massively welcome, and the results are starting to show, witness how we made Batswana happy by defeating Orlando Pirates over the weekend.
“We are absolutely happy and thankful for their partnership that is motivated our players. If they are in the right environment, they will focus on the playing field and deliver great results.”

Victory over Pirates
Galaxy’s recent triumph saw them secure a 1-0 victory over South African giants, Orlando Pirates, in the first leg of the CAF Champions League’s second preliminary round, played at the National Stadium over the weekend.
Morake revealed that the partnership with Naledi Mining is not limited to the CAF Championship but spans a year with prospects of renewal.
“We are determined to give Naledi Mining the mileage they deserve,” he said. “We will work hard to ensure that those who partner with us enjoy the results.”
He attributed the sponsorship to Galaxy’s impressive performance, emphasising transparency in their operations. “We are transparent and account for whatever we do,” he emphasised.

For someone to partner with you, they expect to get the right mileage by defeating big African teams. By doing so, people will want to associate with you.”
