- Four points ahead of Galaxy
- Race is still open – Zapata

Township Rollers became the first team this season, to reach the 50 point mark on the Botswana Premier League log following their 4-2 win against Sharps Shooting Stars over the weekend.
Veteran striker Joel Mogorosi struck a brace, to extend his goal tally for the season to 14 goals, while Lemponye Tshireletso and Bindu Wansindidi Bibo scored a goal apiece to seal victory for the table topping Rollers. Lawrence Ndunga and Takunda Sadiki were on the score sheet for Sharps.
Rollers coach Rodolf Zapata praised his players’ character in finding their way back into the game after falling behind in the early stages of the match.
“Our intention was all out attack, but we were facing a good team with a fast attack.” Zapata said in his post match remarks.
“Sharps started well and got an early goal, but I feel it was because we had a loss of concentration at the back- the ball hit the crossbar and went back into play, but Sharps still managed to score. But we managed to fight back before they got that penalty and we went into the locker room at 2-2.”
He added that his half time pep talk and changes made the difference in the game. “The half time change was tactical, we wanted a more mobile full back so we brought on (Motsholetsi) Sikele and moved Maano (Ditshupo) to midfield. In the second half we attacked, we should have got more goals but we will take the 4-2 result,” further said Zapata.
“We cant talk about the league title now, we still have a few more games to and the race is still open. We are not focusing on any team, but we want to do as best as we can and collect as many points as possible.”
Sharps’ coach Matshediso Moseki admitted that Rollers were just too good for his players on the day but pointed out that they were able to identify their mistakes and promised to rectify ahead of their next game.
The win moved Rollers to a half century points, with only just eight (8) games remaining, four (4) points behind second placed Jwaneng Galaxy, who won by 2 goals to 1 over Extension Gunners on Saturday.
