Talented forward Thabang Sesinyi is set to return to his old stomping ground, Jwaneng Galaxy this month. The Mascom Top 8 champions are currently in the process of re-signing Sesinyi following his injury riddled spell in South Africa.

Galaxy Public Relations Officer Tankiso Morake told Gazette Sport that they are close to completing a deal to bring Sesinyi back to the club. The 26 year old player will start regular training with the rest of the squad next week as Galaxy are hopeful of completing the deal within the two week span.

“Sesinyi’s return is almost done, I do not want to say much about this transfer because it is nearly complete, we will share more about the deal once it has been officially completed. I do not want to discuss deals that have not been concluded because anything can happen,” Morake stated.

This publication has also established that the move has been delayed by the fact that the player’s International Transfer Certificate (ITC) is yet to arrive but the club has underlined that every aspect of the deal is positive at this stage.

Sesinyi left Galaxy in 2017 to sign for the then Peter Butler led Platinum Stars, however a coaching change and recurrent injuries limited him to only six appearances in the 2017/2018 season, his sole goal came in a 1-1 draw against Amazulu towards the end of 2017.

The club was then relegated and re-named Cape Umoya United, he faced more time in the side lines as injuries came back to haunt him. Despite his unlucky injury troubles, Morake concluded his chat with this publication by stating that the player has fully recovered from his injury problems.

Sesinyi helped Galaxy win the Mascom Top 8 trophy in 2017 and his return will strengthen their chances of fighting for silverware in the forthcoming season. He is regarded as one of the most talented attacking talents in the country and his potential return could also pave the way for a national team return if he rekindles his old form.
