Mascom last week launched their highly anticipated MyZaka Visa Card. The sleek looking card serves as a self-service platform that enables users to access their MyZaka wallet from anywhere, at any time. MyZaka Visa Card is in line with the telecommunications company’s efforts to promote financial inclusion and bring financial services closer to Batswana.

“The card comes as a true testament of convenience, as it enables users to make cash withdrawals at any local or international ATMs, pay for purchases at any point-of-sale (POS) terminal and make online payments at any merchant displaying the Visa sign. The card also offers a virtual card feature which is an online version of the chip-enabled card which allows customers to shop online,” said Chief Communications and PR Officer at Mascom Tebogo Lebotse-Sebego.

Lebotse-Sebego highligted that the Tap and Go Feature on their MyZaka Card makes it unique as it is a first in the mobile money space in the country. This feature will allow MyZaka customers to conveniently pay at compatible pay points with a simple Tap to the machine. To apply for the card, Customers need to provide a valid identity document, proof of income, proof of residence and a completed MyZaka VISA application form which will be provided at Mascom shops countrywide. Customers without formal employment and students can collect an affidavit from any Mascom shop and have it certified and provide it with their ID/passport to get the MyZaka Visa Card.

“Mascom is committed to bringing affordable innovative solutions that bring convenience to Batswana. The MyZaka VISA card is a solution that is inclusive and convenient – anyone with a Mascom sim card can register and get the Visa card.
