Sip and Paint with The STORE

The STORE Sip and Paint is an eclectic event that fuses fine wine with art, and is scheduled for March 3rd at Wagga Gardenex in Gaborone. The event will also feature wine tastings, gourmet food and live entertainment. “The Sip and Paint is a platform to unleash that inner Van Gogh that we all have, to have fun, bond, socialise and appreciate art while at it. It will be hosted quarterly. The event is for art lovers, art collectors, and anyone who would love to uncork their creativity,” event facilitator Lolo Sejoe says.
Local art instructor Lesedi Rabothako will be taking attendees through a simple crash course on how to recreate classics such as the Van gogh; starry sky of the rhone river; Leonardo da Vinci; Mona Lisa, Pablo Picasso; violin and grape. Rabothako has over ten years experience in art with a BA honours in Fine Art, traditional Chinese painting and Calligraphy. “All supplies will be provided and the final masterpiece is a work of art ready to be taken home and hung on the wall. People should expect an opulent, fun filled event and at the back drop of that fun is just a celebration of art over good wine.”
Other activities will include a live speed painting performance –an artistic technique where the artist has a limited time usually within minutes to finish the work, as well as live sketches and wine pairings.
